Fuel Prices Kills Diesel
Diesel vehicles achieve better fuel economy than conventional automotives, and are almost equal to hybrids in efficiency. Higher energy prices affect the price of diesel differently than gasoline. Gasoline and diesel are nearly equal, demand for deisel has grown fast. Howard Wilner predicts that diesel will rise to 11.7 percent by 2015,while hybrids will plateau at 7 percent. Various autovehicle brands are expected to deliver "clean diesel" vehicles by the end of the year.
Some auto-analysts believe diesel vehicles will become more popular than hybrids cars in the next years - but high diesel fuel prices could change the future. The average price of a gallon of ultra-low sulfur diesel is as low as $4.50 a gallon, compared with gasoline at $3.84.

The hybrid sales will rise to 7 percent by 2015 is something like only one out of 14 vehicles will be hybrid. Howard Wilner expectes at least 27 percent hybrid sales. The price for fuel will be about $10/gallon by 2015 the price is high and hybrids will be most the demanging automotives.
Hybrids require high-technology components, including expensive nickel-metal-hydride battery packs that will become lithium soon. The battery manufacturing will increase production ? We don't know why the hybrid sales will be only 7 percent but it is sure that the automakers don't get much incoming from selling a hybrid vehicle. The lack to mass-marketing the hybrids is general thing and the hybrids may change.
Howard Wilner says that consumers need focus their interest in hybrid vehicles to make manufacturers supply more. The companies have low profit duo the low demand in hybrid vehicles. The hybrid market is healthy but improvement is needed in making the hybrid profitable for companies and sellers.
